“AI in ecommerce” has quietly become a checkbox: a chatbot in the corner, a “recommended for you” row, a banner that says powered by AI. Useful, sometimes. Transformative, rarely.

This is about something different: building the page itself by describing it. You open a chat, say what you want, and a real page comes back.

Meet the chat

Every MagicFront workspace has a chat panel — it lives on the right side of the editor, next to the page itself. This is the first time we’re walking through it in detail, because it’s the part that changes how the rest of the platform works.

It’s not a support widget bolted onto a page builder. It’s the primary way you build. You can toggle that right panel between the AI chat and the settings of whatever widget you have selected, so you’re never more than a click away from either “tell it what you want” or “adjust this one thing by hand.”

The flow, step by step

1. One prompt. You describe the page in plain language — “a landing page for our summer sandal collection, with a hero, a product carousel, and a newsletter signup at the bottom.” That’s enough to start.

2. The AI asks. Rather than guessing at the gaps, it comes back with guided questions: multiple-choice options with a recommended one already marked, sometimes a short pre-filled form to confirm details. You can also just say “let the AI decide” and let it move on.

3. It generates. You watch it happen — the response streams in as it’s written, a task list shows each step it’s executing and its status, and a progress bar tracks how far along it is. If you want to see why it made a choice, you can expand its reasoning. If you change your mind mid-generation, you can stop the turn instantly.

4. You can modify. Once the page exists, editing doesn’t mean starting a new prompt from scratch. Click with the selector in any widget on the page and it will send it to the AI chat. If you prefer to edit by hand instead, just click the widget and use the Config/Style tabs in the same right panel.

5. You can ask again. Keep going in the same conversation — “make the hero copy shorter,” “swap the carousel for a single featured product,” “match this to our brand colors.” The AI reads the current state of the page before acting, so each request builds on the last one instead of overwriting it. For anything with real consequences (deleting a section, say), it asks for confirmation first — and for a batch of changes, you can review the list and uncheck anything you don’t want before confirming the rest.

6. You publish. When it looks right, publish the page directly — that saves a version and makes it live. If you’re replacing an existing homepage, MagicFront flags it so you don’t activate two by accident.

What’s actually happening underneath

None of this works if the AI is just generating a generic mockup. It isn’t. It reads your page’s real structure before editing it, links widgets to your actual product categories and catalog — not placeholder data — and checks that the images it uses actually load before handing the page back to you. It can also generate a brand identity from your existing site and apply your palette automatically, so a page it builds from scratch already looks like your store, not a template with your logo pasted on top.

And because the conversation is the record of what was built and why, you can always go back: every conversation is saved, searchable, and reopenable, so revisiting a page you built two weeks ago means picking the thread back up — not reverse-engineering what happened.

Try it on your next page

The next time you need a landing page, don’t open the widget catalog first. Open the chat, describe what you’re trying to sell and to whom, and see how far one prompt gets you before you touch a single setting by hand.
