# How to duplicate, export, or share a page before you experiment with it

Say a category page is already converting well, and you want to try a bolder layout on it — but not at the cost of the version that’s currently working if the experiment doesn’t pan out. Before touching anything, there’s a straightforward way to protect what’s already there.

## Duplicate it before you touch anything

Duplicating a page copies it with all its content intact. The experiment happens on the copy; the original stays exactly as it was, untouched and still live, while you try the new layout on its duplicate.

## Export it if it needs to leave the editor

If the page needs to go somewhere outside Magicfront AI — a backup outside the platform, or a copy to hand to someone who isn’t in your account — you can export the page to a file, or copy it to the clipboard, rather than being limited to duplicating within your own workspace.

## Bring a page back in from elsewhere

The same path works in reverse: a page can be imported from a file, which is what makes handing a page off — to a colleague, or receiving one from someone else — practical, rather than the two of you rebuilding it from scratch on each side.

## Undo still covers the smaller mistakes

Not every risk needs a full duplicate first. For a smaller change you’re not sure about, Ctrl+Z undoes it and Ctrl+Y (or Ctrl+Shift+Z) brings it back if you change your mind again — the lighter-weight safety net for edits that don’t need a whole separate copy of the page.

## The takeaway

A page that’s already working doesn’t have to be the one you experiment on directly. Duplicate it for a same-workspace test, export it if it needs to travel outside the editor, and keep undo in reserve for the smaller adjustments in between.
